Our Pick of Restaurants in Our Area

South Warwickshire and the North Cotswolds have a wealth of highly acclaimed places to eat out locally, another reason to make the move to our area. As the easing of lockdown progresses it is important to support our local businesses. Here is our recommendation for some of the better known restaurants on our doorstep.

Stratford upon Avon

  • The Woodsman – Michelin-starred Executive Chef, owner, and experienced woodsman Mike Robinson describes it as heritage dining with food foraged and hunted on the land. Everything is locally, ethically and sustainably sourced from the countryside, as local as possible. The succulent meat is traditionally charcoal grilled and the cosy restaurant and bar are located in an ancient inn in the town centre. http://www.thewoodsmanrestaurant.com

  • Salt – Relaxed fine dining restaurant housed in a historic 16th Century beamed building in central Stratford upon Avon. Using the best seasonal produce local chef Paul Foster serves great value lunches, tasting menus, Sunday lunch and a good vegetarian choice. Salt gained Stratford upon Avon’s first Michelin star and has been described as ‘a shining star in Stratford’s food scene.’ http://www.salt-restaurant.co.uk

Shipston on Stour

  • Bower House - Restaurant, bar and rooms, in the heart of the former market town. Serving breakfast, lunch, dinner, tea, coffee, cake and cocktails. Their Sunday roast has received rave reviews. A stylish and elegant ambience with seriously good food of superior quality. https://bower.house

Ilmington

  • Howard Arms – traditional English countryside inn with a touch of luxury and comfort and a 400 year old history. Good quality locally sourced food, lovely Sunday lunches and tempting puddings. https://howardarms.com

Moreton in Marsh

  • The Mulberry Restaruant– A traditional Cotswold restaurant within The Manor House Hotel in the thriving market town. Named after the 300 year old Mulberry tree still standing in the courtyard from which they make homemade mulberry jam. Modern British cuisine with a seasonal twist and excellent wines.

Traditional Greek cuisine, mezze and modern Mediterranean dishes.
